Central Library

The College Library was started in the year 1984 and also functions in the Main Building of the college (Main Block). Now it has been shifted to a spacious New Central Library Block with an area of 4000 Sq.mt. It is a two-storied Building. A Conference Hall, Audio-visual section, Reference Section, Language Lab, and Digital Library are on the first floor Stacksections, Circulation Section, Informal Reading Section, Book Bank Section, and binding Section are on the Ground Floor.

Computer Centre and Computer Facilities

Apart from individual computer labs from IT (60 Computers) and Computer Science (60 Computers) Department, we have a centralized Computer Centre that is fully air-conditioned. At a time 400 students can work individually.

Wi-Fi Enabled Campus

APEC has entered into an e-revolution by making its entire campus with a Wi-Fi of 45 mbps top speed, thanks to the dedicated leased line connectivity. The campus-wide Wi-Fi enables 24/7 indoor and outdoor access, including both the hostels which also enables the users to access most of the prominent e-journals, resources, and web browsing.

24 x 7 Power Supply

The college has a 24 hour high tension power supply from TNEB. A separate power house, with two generators of 500 KVA capacities is commissioned to provide power supply to the entire campus in the event of power failure. While two additional generators take care of hostel campus.

Sports Complex

APEC has a sprawling sports complex consisting of outdoors, indoors and a hydraulic gymnasium. The spacious outdoor court has capability of accommodating 400 meters standard track, including a lobby to play cricket, football, hockey, basketball, tennis, badminton and handball. While the fully air-conditioned and fully equipped indoor court has the space for basketball, shuttle crock, table tennis, volleyball and other small sports. To install the habit of physical exercise, a sophisticated hydraulic gymnasium has been added up with other facilities. The treadmills, vibrating belts and multi-gym apparatus adorn this new inclusion.

It also has exclusive modern indoor stadium with wooden floor finishing and seat capacity of 600.

Transport & Connections

Transport facility is well provided for students and staff, who commute to college from far away places. Around 90 km radius of distance is covered by the 10 numbers of well-maintained college buses, which connect various places like Chennai, Chengalpet, Cheyyar, Kalpakkam, Kanchipuram, Tindivanam, Pondicherry, Vandavasi, and Villupuram. Moreover, APEC MMR is well connected by Road and Railways.

Sothupakkam - all local and town buses stop here.
Melmaruvathur - all point-to-point and expresses busses stop here.

Melmaruvathur is situated 90 Kms away from Chennai, in Chennai-Trichy Highway (GST Road, NH45).

Banking & ATM Facility

A central Bank of India’s extension counter working inside the campus functioning on all working days from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm.

ATMs of Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank, Central Bank of India is found at the entrance of the College campus.

Full-Featured Laboratories

Health Care Centre

The health care centre facilities for the students are provided by Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MAPIMS.org), a multi facility 24/7 hospital inside the (Educational institution) campus, which provides treatment at free of cost.

Apart from that, Adhiparasakthi Engineering College has a dedicated General physician Dr. Appanraj and a College Ambulance.
